The day began at noon with a Catholic Mass Celebrated at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, followed by a rededication ceremony of the Franco Alessandrini ‘s Christopher Columbus statue and fountain in downtown Baton Rouge.



A fun-filled day for the family follows with
 lots of food, music, dancing, hot air balloons, city’s largest Tarentella dance, presentation
of Italian princesses and ending with
a fabulous fireworks display.
